Modern Hebrew online

Modern Hebrew For All Levels  

Modern Hebrew is a set of 8 courses, levels 1-8, in which you will learn to master the Hebrew language, starting from the alphabet and working up to reading and writing advanced texts.

Modern Hebrew – Level 1
We start by learning the use and sound of all the Hebrew letters and vowels, which paves the way to speaking, reading and writing easily. By the end of the course, you will know 400 new words, basic syntax, verbs in present tense and numbers. We teach Hebrew with a taste of Israel, making learning a fun and successful experience!

Modern Hebrew – Level 2
This course takes you to the next level of Hebrew as you come closer to being completely fluent.
You will learn 350 new words, how to read fluently and further verbs in present tense. By the end of this course, you will be able to have basic conversations, feeling confident speaking in daily situations!

Take a closer look at the lives of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and David via an interpretive chronological journey through their stories and discover unique insights..

Discovering the Hebrew Bible
This course follows the journeys of the main characters in the Book of Genesis.
For the majority of the course, we will discuss the lives of the patriarchs and the tests of faith they had to undergo, to prove themselves worthy.

Discovering the Hebrew Bible – Prophets
In this course we discuss the words of various spiritual leaders from the Prophetic Books and look into the complex relationship between God’s will,
his people and his spokesmen. Starting with Joshua continue to Elijah and his prodigy Elisha
Finally, we discuss Isaiah’s Messianic prophecies, which are also quoted in the New Testament.

Biblical Hebrew For all Levels

Biblical Hebrew is a set of 5 courses, levels 1-5, in which you will learn to master the Hebrew alphabet and biblical syntax, and will become familiar with translation decisions that have been made over the ages, understanding how they have affected the meaning of the original biblical texts.

Biblical Hebrew – Level 1
The first few lessons of our beginner’s course are dedicated to acquiring the Hebrew Alphabet and main vowels. 
From this point, we read the Biblical verses together, discussing the hidden insights which Hebrew reveals,
using the grammar as a guide. 
Our expert teachers give you essential tools, in order to gain a deeper understanding of the Bible.

Biblical Hebrew – Level 2
We will learn about verbs, forms of speech and acquire new vocabulary that will allow you to read and understand full paragraphs from the Bible, without translation.

Take a closer look at the locations and sites mentioned in biblical stories, and experience them from a new perspective that will give you a deeper understanding of each story.

Exploring the Biblical Land of Israel
We start our journey with the Old Testament, asking question about the Biblical Land of Israel.
Why did Abram migrate to Shechem? How did Joshua cross the Jordan Valley? 
And what was the implication of David’s decision to move his capital to Jerusalem? 

We then travel forward in time, to the Roman province of Judea, in the first century, looking at the life of Jesus. 
Following His footsteps from Nazareth to the Sea of Galilee and finally to Jerusalem, we discuss Jesus’ physical and spiritual journey from birth to crucifixion.
